Residents and visitors made the most of the sunshine as they came together for a relaxed summer evening of great food, music and community spirit at Wintringham's summer pop-up street food event.

Held at The Plaza outside Wintringham Primary Academy, the event attracted families, friends and neighbours, who relaxed on picnic blankets and deckchairs while sampling a delicious selection of street food.
The event, organised by Wintringham master developer Urban&Civic in partnership with Off The Beaten Truck, featured a variety of street food including sourdough flatbreads from Nomadough, wings and fries from Buffalo Joe’s, bao buns from Guerrilla Kitchen and freshly made churros from Churros Bar. Tony’s Ices kept visitors cool with ice creams, while Axle & Hop served a selection of drinks from its vintage bus bar.
Throughout the evening, a DJ provided the soundtrack, creating a lively yet relaxed atmosphere as residents caught up with neighbours, met new people and enjoyed spending time together in the heart of the growing community.
Christine Littlewood, Community Development Lead for Wintringham, said: “It was fantastic to see families, friends and neighbours enjoying a wonderful summer evening together, sharing great food and making the most of this welcoming community space.
“We’re grateful to all the fantastic food vendors and everyone who came along to support the event. Community events like these are a great way to bring people together, and it was wonderful to see The Plaza buzzing with activity throughout the evening.”
